There are really great aspects of contrast in this photo. The light that is reflected on the glasses really contrasts the dark, wood of the table the glasses are on. This, in a way, presents a focal point for the photo on the bright spots reflected in the glasses.
The depth of the different glasses are captivating, as are the lights and darks of them. I like this photo. It shows different clear shapes, which is not really a common photo subject. The wood is also a nice touch. The whole photo has a warmth to it, yet a coldness as well. Very atmospheric.
I like that you can see really good reflections of light in this photo and I also like that you can see the refections of other classes that are way in the back.
One of the things I find interesting in retrospect is the appearance of positive and negative space... what isn't glass creates some interesting shapes!
I find that the wood and painting in the background give it a homey feel. Which is nice because usually pictures of glass seem to have a sharp, almost threatening feel.
My favorite part is how the lights dance off the glasses. The flecks of light and throughout the glasses give the photo a very warm, positive and relaxed feel.
The glasses in this photo seemed to provide many kinds of reflections of the surrounding objects.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that each of the rear glasses offer reflections within reflections. like reflection-inception.... (:
ReplyDeleteI like the diferences in the glass were the water line is.
ReplyDeleteI think it's kinda cool how the glasses distort the images of the surrounding objects and create a new, different, fun one! :)

ReplyDeleteI like all the different shapes in the photo.
ReplyDeleteI really like the different water lines in the glasses!
ReplyDeleteThe different forms of the glass shapes make it interesting, although the fuzziness of the photograph is not too appealing.
ReplyDeleteI like how you can see other glasses through the glass where you can also see other objects reflecting off the water that it contains.
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the color in iPhoto to adjust the image and give it an "aged" look
ReplyDeleteI think that the lighting in the photo gives it a cool effect with it bouncing off all different glasses.
ReplyDeleteI like how the middle glass has lines going horizontally through it. It kind of is like the line from the water level in the other glass.
ReplyDeleteI like how the one big bright light sort of draws your attention, but that there are other repeated bright spots throughout the image as well.

ReplyDeleteThe different shapes of the glasses and the reflections create a good effect that completes the photo.
