Another Floral Group
Here are blossoms from a bouquet at my house... I used some adjustments in iPhoto, any guesses as to what and how? Let's see what you can come up with just from looking at the finished piece. Please comment below and check out the other flowers shots at http://chartliej.blogspot.com/ Thanks!

It looks like you might have adjusted the sharpness and the coloration, pulling out more of the greens/blues of the photo.
ReplyDeleteYes! Sharpening was a part of the process here, as well as enhancing the saturation.
DeleteI like the purple in the middle of the white flowers, and I like how the picture was set up.

DeleteIt seems like you enhanced the photo on iphoto, which may have lightened it, as well as sharpenning it.
ReplyDeleteI did enhance the darks, knock down the lights, and increase the overall range of colors! Good call.
DeleteI love how the purple in the center of the flowers bleeds out. It's wonderful! I also like the graininess on the outside of the photo, possibly used a high ISO? It also looks like you played with the histogram a little to make it darker around the edges, bring out the main subject of the photo.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned the histogram, it is usually the first place I go to explore the options with a particular photo, and did that here as well!
DeleteIt looks like you enhanced the sharpness and shadowing a bit and really saturated the color. It is very cool, and reminds me of a very realistic painting of flowers, from the intensity of the colors.
ReplyDeleteThe intensity was a big thing for this photo, because the secondary colors (violet and green) had such different kinds of strength in the picture. Pulling out info in the shadows and sharpness were done as well! Nice!

ReplyDeleteI didn't really add any lighting, but I did increase the exposure to "brighten" the image. I think that's what you are seeing here. Good!
DeleteIt looks like you made the "brighter" colors pop and have the not so bright colors be in the back ground more by the looks of it.
ReplyDeleteI did brighten the photo, and also went into the background darks to highlight them a bit as well. Good call!
