Ellie M. (block C) arranged the pieces for the picture above. She had the concept (envision - 8 habits) and did all the work - cut out the letters, taped them up to the table, set the lights, etc., but I took this particular photo (she has some similar).

ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting piece. It reminds me of a "I Spy" book illustration. I also like how the paper is almost unreadable, but the shadow is.
ReplyDeleteAt first i didn't notice the two layers of shadows, i only noticed the darker shadows.

ReplyDeleteI love this photo! I love how the main shadow is so distinct, but then there is the shadow from a side light that darkens the shadow in places.

ReplyDeleteIt's like a work of art or statement on shadows that Ellie made and then you took a picture of. Sort of like taking a picture of a painting, but it's 3D.

ReplyDeleteActually, I kind of liked the way the shadows and the paper letters worked together, each becoming more important,to show the word when it had to, like around the "d" the paper letters show more than the shadows.
